Title: A Thinking Person's Guide to Our Times
Author: H.R.H. Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad bin Talal
ISBN: 978-1-90-6949-36-5
Publisher: Turath Publishing (UK)

This book examines ‘our times’ from an Islamic philosophical world view, looking at the problems facing the Islamic World in the near past, present and future respectively in three mutually complementary parts. At the end of each part, it suggests holistic and easilyapplied remedies to the problems it examines. In other words (and for those who enjoy sonorous German and Greek philosophical terms) it examines the Zeitgeist from the Weltanschauung of Islam and suggests panaceas. Nevertheless, it presents a systematic analysis and suggested prognosis based on a coherent philosophy. Nothing is more needed in our times, and second to spiritual weakening, the greatest problem of all facing the Islamic World (and indeed the whole world) is lack of understanding of the true natures and essences of things.

This book is an absolute must to understand where the Muslim community is at present and what may happen in the next thirty years. The author has to be commended for compiling an astonishing amount of detail on the various related topics of the past, present and future, which perhaps only a person in his privileged position and academic insight could have provided. Rather than follow conspiracy theories that are abound on the internet and other places, this is the book to read for mind blowing detail but with sound analysis and solutions.

Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad has written a number of books and guides for thinking people, and this small but potent work before you sums up many of his most keen and cogent insights and conclusions; for that reason, this may be his most impactful and motivational work to date.
